After School Activities

The THIRD Trimester of the After School Activities Program will start on Monday March 25th.

Please view all ASA on our dedicated page and register by Friday, 22nd.

All current Trimester 2 Activities will continue and more activities will be offered in the third semester!

#MyFreedomDay

Today, March 14th, it will be #MyFreedomDay.

For the third year, The International School in Genoa has decided to be part of this important cause: raise awareness on modern slavery. We strongly believe that it is important to support this initiative with new activities every year, because taking action and doing something meaningful can be more effective than any lectures.

We are so proud of how our students tried to make a difference. Two years ago, some of them were interviewed on CNN:

Education Across Frontiers

The International School in Genoa will host the next edition of the Education Across Frontiers workshops in June and July 2019.

The mission of Education Across Frontiers (EAF) is to support the development of international school teachers and administrators in becoming effective leaders of adult learning. Specifically, the courses will examine theories of adult learningstrategies for effective workshop presentations, and leadership skills for facilitating professional learning communities. The courses are designed for teachers and administrators who aspire to be educational leaders - principals, staff developers or team leaders.

For additional information on the workshops, please visit http://www.educationacrossfrontiers.com/

ISG Students' Achievements

Once again, The International School in Genoa took part in the 16th edition of Genoa Model United Nations that was held in February, 21st-23rd.

This years' GeMUN theme is Equality and Justice. Two of our 11th grade students, Cecilya Amorim and Vittoria Silvano, won awards during the event, and Nicolò Gaggero was appointed as chair for the International Court of Justice.

The next event will be the MUN One Day Debate that we will host on April, 12th.

Language Courses for Parents

ISG offers English and Italian Courses for Parents throughout the year.

The ENGLISH FOR ADVANCED (Conversation class) is held on Tuesdays, whilst the ENGLISH FOR BEGINNERS is held on Thursdays in the early afternoons before students’ dismissal.

The Italian course is taught by Ms. Laura Morano, also a mother tongue teacher who has experience in preparing participants for the achievement of the official CILS Certificate (www.cils.unistrasi.it). The ITALIAN FOR BEGINNERS course is offered on Mondays in the early afternoons before students’ dismissal.

The courses will then end in June 2019. For costs and registration, please send an email to betty.bertoldo@isgenoa.it.
