Parent Advisory Group
The Parent Advisory Group (PAG) is a space for exchange and communication between the school and the parents, and provides focused feedback on policy and procedures that support the operation and direction of the school. The Parent Advisory Group meets once a month with the Elementary and Secondary School Leadership team to discuss various issues that arise during the school year and to support the implementation of the Mission Statement Guidelines and Our Learning Approach. The International School in Genoa values the active involvement of parents as partners in providing the highest quality learning environment.
Parents from all grade levels from across the school are welcome to participate. We believe that this an opportunity for the school to also gain a deeper understanding from the perspective of the parents.
The Parent Advisory Group meets the first Monday of the month at 8:30 in the Cafeteria. Focus of discussions have included:
- After School Programming
- Social Emotional Curriculum
- Most Effective Communication with Families and Community
- Home Learning, Including Holiday and Weekend Learning (homework)
If you are interested in joining the PAG, please contact the Primary School Principal, Ms. Julie Flynn (julie.flynn@isgenoa.it) or Mr. Jody Lee Parker, the Secondary School Principal (jody.parker@isgenoa.it).
