The Caravel Cats hosted a successful day of 3v3 basketball on Saturday, what a way to start the Valentine's Day weekend!

International School of Milan came to town with their middle schoolers and participated in a fun day of basketball with our Caravel Cat middle school basketball teams!!
"I really liked that experience and I think it was a great practice for my basketball skills. I talked to a lot of new and amazing people that day. I had lots of fun and even if we lost that game we will be back stronger! -Mariya D.
"The trip to Rome was one of the best trips I had so far with the basketball team, it was a fun experience that also helped me learn new things about basketball. It also helped me to create new friendships and enlarge my bonds with my friends," Igor

"We came, we saw, we conquered! The International School of Modena hosted a fun tournament in which soccer and basketball was played. Caravel Cats swept the tourney winning all matches between the three teams but one, while displaying exemplary sportsmanship."
"43 - 32 was the Caravels final score versus the International School of Milan. The Caravels led the game at 3 different times, but simply ran out of gas the last 7minutes of the game. So much growth occurred as a team during this game, the future is bright!"
"First game of the basketball season is now in the books. The Caravel Cats had a slow start with beginning of the season jitters, and could not recover from the deficit incurred during the first half versus the Canadian International School of Florence. The Caravel Cats were able to bring the game within 6pts but could not close the gap quick enough, the first game ended with a score of 52-31. A second game was played in which the exhausted Cats gave the Canadian School of Florence a good run but fell short in the end with a final score of 36-28."

The Caravels soared past Durazzo in yesterday's fixture to end the volleyball season, while displaying that caravel excellence in sportsmanship.

Caravel Cat welcomes the CIS Accreditation Team
"Caravel teams displayed excellent sportsmanship and growth as a team versus the International School of Florence. Middle school girls volleyball came out on top while our boys volleyball team fell short. Both teams showed much improvement from the previous matches while having fun, which is what caravel athletics is all about.
"The Caravel Volleyball Teams and the Cross Country team completed an exciting weekend of fixtures versus The International School of Turin here in Genoa!
The Cross Country team placed first in the 5k with Andrea Vezzuto leading the pack with a completed 5k time of 23mins and his teammates close behind! Way to go!
Caravel Volleyball teams fought hard in their volleyball games but fell short of victory in the end versus the Turin volleyball teams. Spirits were very high despite the downfall, and the caravels showed great sportsmanship! The day ended with smiles from everyone as a good time was had.
Thank you to all of the parents that attended both events and to the student cheer section who created their own cheer instruments and were loud and present to cheer their caravels on! A big thank you to The International School of Turin for a fun and competitive day!"
"This week the campus student leadership team planned a school versus the boys and girls caravel volleyball teams tournament, and included a teacher team. Although last minute, the intra-school tournament was fun for all who participated. I am happy to announce that the teacher team are currently our school champs, great job teachers!

The Caravel Cross Country team mastered the 8k race at the Turin Half Marathon Gran Premio Città Di Collegno.
Coach Owston said,
“The cross country team did a fantastic job running in the 8k T-Fast Pink race in Torino to raise money for cancer research. All runners finished the race and even beat their time goals! Tarik Khoury and Lorenzo Barbagelata finished in 51 minutes, Gonzalo Eusa finished in 41 minutes and Andrea Vezzuto finished in 39 minutes. Congratulations Caravels!!”
The Secondary Principal, Jody Parker also had some words of esteem,
“We are very proud of our student-athletes and their achievement this past weekend in Torino. The boys are from 6th-10th grade and were running for such a good cause. A special thank you to Mollie Owston for coaching and traveling with the students.”
“This experience has been really good, and I had a good time with my teammates. And the race in Turin was really nice because it allowed us to visit many places while running,” -Gonzalo Eusa, ISG student.
