Welcome to The International School in Genoa Between the sunrise over Portofino and the magnificent sunset over the mountains of Torino is another day in the life of a student at ISG. Located on the Italian Riviera in view of the Mediterranean, is a home where students from all over the world, from Pre-School to 12th grade, live and work together in a challenging and nurturing environment Children learn respect and tolerance in an academic setting second to none. The most rigorous courses of study taught by creative and energetic teachers culminate in an IB Diploma, which has placed 100% of our graduates each year into some of the most prestigious universities in the world. Our teachers are colleagues who truly enjoy each others company, who socialize with each other after school and continually talk about the children they teach and the many different ways they can collaborate to make the school program interesting and more rigorous for them and the students they teach. We have a PTA (Parent Teachers Association), which has become an integral part of the school, working with us each day to support the work of our teachers. Our school board consists of parent volunteers who work with the teachers, PTA and larger Genoa community to continually improve upon our programs and course of study. School Year 2010-2011 Monday September 6th will be the first day of the next school year. Students will come to school at 8:20 am and will be dismissed at regular time. 2. School Year 2009-2010: ISA Test results You can find the class results of the ISA tests 2010. 3. 100% IB Graduate Results ISG is proud to announce that for the seventh consecutive year, it has maintained its 100% success rate with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Since 2002, when the school began offering this rigorous, university-preparation program to its students in the final two years of high school, 100% of its candidates have earned the IB diploma. (The annual world-wide IB diploma pass rate is around 80%.) The ISG graduating class of 2010 performed exceptionally well with our candidates earning an average score of 35.5 points (out of a maximum possible 45). All graduates have been accepted in the unversity of their choice (in the US, UK, Canada and Italy); several received scholarships for their excellent academic preparation. We are very proud of our students' fine achievements and wish them the very best in their tertiary academic studies. ____________________________ 1. Anno scolastico 2010-2011 Lunedì 6 Settembre sarà il primo giorno di scuola del prossimo anno scolastico. Gli studenti verranno a scuola alle 8:20 e usciranno al solito orario. 2. Anno scolastico 2009-2010: risultati Test ISA Sono disponibili i risultati per classe dei test ISA 2010. 3. 100% di successo nel diploma IB ISG è lieta di annunciare che per il settimo anno consecutivo abbiamo mantenuto il 100% di successo nel conseguimento del Diploma IB. Dal 2002, ossia da quando la scuola ha iniziato ad offrire questo rigoroso programma di preparazione all’università agli studenti del secondo biennio di scuola superiore, il 100% dei candidati ha conseguito il diploma IB. A livello mondiale la percentuale raggiunge l’80%. La classe dei diplomandi del 2010 ha ottenuto un buon successo con un punteggio medio di 35.5 su un massimo di 45. Tutti i diplomati sono stati accettati dalle università da loro scelte (negli Stati Uniti, nel Regno Unito, in Canada e in Italia) e alcuni di loro anche ricevuto borse di studio per l’ottima preparazione accademica. Siamo molto orgogliosi di quanto realizzato dai nostri studenti e auguriamo loro di riuscire al meglio in campo universitario. | Every year our school organizes a summer school program designed for children ages 3-14 who want to learn the English language through fun and stimulating activities. The Summer School 2010 opens on Monday June 28th and runs for 4 consecutive weeks, Monday to Friday, until Friday July 23rd.
